Not everyone needs to get their fingerprints done. All the requested documents requested in the AIP email need to be sent. Did your hubby receive the email yet?

No. I called CIC and asked what happened to the email and the agent said that even though I changed my email address to the correct email, the AIP email that was sent out by the officer processing my file was sent to the wrong email that had been corrected months ago. She said that she put a note in my file to send out the email again to the corrected address, but still nothing. That was last Friday so I'll wait until tomorrow and call again. Otherwise, I have no idea if they need more documents or if we sent all the documents that they needed. Ugh. :/

Hello Everyone,

I called CIC yesterday to see where the investigation as to where my application was end up.
The lady said that they found the application and that they opened it in december and realize one of the forms is an old one. Still they havent been able to send it back to me and that they should so within 2 months!
I sent my application on Nov 14 and all of my original documents are in it so even if i wanted to send a new one i would need to get all them back its hard when you are not in your home country!!
I am so dissapointed in myself I spent hours filling those fomrs and I did one of them wrong.
Then by the time I can send it again, my husband work permit will expire (in may) we where ok for him not to work for 3 to 4 months but not until next year if the wait is still 10 months.

I feel like maybe we should just move to Panama and forget about all this.

Anyways, I just wanted to tell you what happened. CIC didnt lose my application they are just holding it hostage.

OMG GUYS!!! I received AIP whaaaaa awesoooommee!
They also sent me a request to do my medical even though i sent it with the application and its still valid ..,

Unfortunately, it is a possibility,I have read few members talk about that Canada Post doesn't forward government mail or something.

The lady at Canada post where we paid for the forwarding told me otherwise. Oh well, I guess we are having to wait until late February to get it.

If it was only one document that was not the correct one, odds are that they are still going to do the sponsorship part of your application (provided the outdated document is not in that part of the package) and then will ask for a new 'updated' document from your spouse once AIP has been given. If they were intending to send you the entire package back, they would have done so already. I think you and the CIC call center just had a communication/understanding error. Did you get a file number or UCI number for the sponsor from the agent on the phone? If not, call back and ask them for that file number, then punch the information into eCas and see what it has to say. Do not always give the CIC call agents the benefit of the doubt that they know what they are talking about as 99.9% of the time they will say whatever comes to mind at the time, whether it's true or not.
