JHWife2011, Nrajani_99, Marylou, thank you all. This is amazing. I'm so glad that we can go to a forum like this and receive support, prayers and well wishes from people we have never met in person. This makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Thank you all for your kind words and helpful wisdom. I myself am going to take your advice JHWife and go burn off some of my nervous energy at the gym. I do need to pry myself away from the computer and just continue to be patient.

Congrats to all of those who received good news today, you are proof that CIC does eventually get around to stuff ... eventually. :P

Hang in there, Cirene! We will get through this! :)

Not everyone except for us fine people on this site truly understand the stress of this entire process! Burn a few extra calories for me too while your at the gym!! The gym is a great idea! Enjoy and just have faith! Your day is juuuuust around the corner ;)

The question is not when they ENTERED INTO the common-law relationship. Go back and read the question again; it was regarding when they BECAME common-law.

Actually you're right. Thought it was the other way round. Some of the other forms ask date you began living together so maybe a mistake was made there.

I must admit you had me rethinking the date I put in my own application...for a minute! :o

I have a question. How long do etobicoke office takes for the landing

Hi,

so my husband (sponsor) just got an email (AOR). :D Please add me to the spreadsheet application was received December 20, 2013 and AOR was today (January 22, 2013).

I haven't receive any email, but I am not sure is it because I have work permit under IEC program?!

Do you know if I should be able right away to see status online, or it takes few hours (days)? I have tried it now, but I can't login with UCI which they provided to my husband.

Congrats on your AOR! It is only the sponsor who gets the AOR email. Since you have an IEC visa you already have an UCI, you can log on ecas with the number on that visa.

For people who got their DM e-mail within January, did you have your interviews scheduled yet? How long did it take you for the letter to arrive?

But...it IS 12 months AFTER you began living together. If you moved in together 01/09/2012, you were not common-law until 01/09/2013.
We moved in together 01/09/2011

Question:
If I just found out I am expecting should I be informing cic ?

Ok so now I'm confused because I put we became common law on 01/09/2012 which means we have been living together for a full year by then and the officer did not accept that so do I just put when we moved in together?
