Interesting! I'm going to call my benefits company now and ask. May I ask what percentage they reimbursed you?

They covered 100% for my xray and lab which cost $150. the physical exam cost $250 and wasnt covered. It really depends on your plan.

omg we just got AIP.. i the sponsor just a email approval of sponsorhsip..b ut my husband hasn't gotten anything....

so happy.. i coudln't have done it with out everyone in this fourm!!!!!!!!!!!!

congrats on getting the AIP looks like they are moving fast April 16th and its only Wednesday. I wonder if the May applicants like myself are getting excited at yet.

Yeah Equitable Life wont cover any of it. Oh well no biggie. But good for your company to cover some of it though, it does help considering it was $400!

I did, its with great west life, they also requested a doctor's note later after submission so I got the DMP to write me one lol. No worries ahaha i didnt think they would before but it doesnt hurt to try!

eeck yeah, I even called every single DMP here in edmonotn and as far as I know they all charge $400 inclusive of everything. Im visiting home next month and was going to do it there then, it wouldve cost ~$100 for everything but they dont do emedicals so i figured its better just to do it here. Its all the way back in south east asia im scared of it being lost in the mail lol

Will CIC update the online status when the OWP is received/mailed out/etc?

OWP mailed Dec 27th after receiving AIP Nov 13th.

I'm on email watch, have been all day. I've been refreshing and refreshing and checking my junk mail and my spam just in case. Called CIC this morning to confirm the email address they had on file for me and it was right.... :/

Hi,

I've got a question that about my application. I applied back in August 2013 , filled out the forms needed as listed in the guide. But I assumed that it wouldn't take too long.. and I'd be able to work before my current WHP visa runs out in May.

After reading things here it sounds like I should have included an additional open work permit application form to the submission. But i didn't at the time.. My question is can I send that in now and have it added to the current application? and if yes.. do I need to included all the supporting docs again, police certificates etc, and pay the fee for the OWP application

Any help would be great!

and it seems, (but please check or others might confirm) that you can only submit per mail and for the fees you need the formular IMM5401 which you can only obtain by mail also.

I know. I feel like I want to cry right now from frustration! I know Turkey is a non-visa exempt country but I don't think that that would have anything to do with how slowly the application is being processed. You're right though, we would have heard if there was something wrong with our papers or if we needed an interview by now. If we wait and wait like this and we don't get it all in one shot (AIP/DM/OWP) ... Grr. It's just strange to me that we have the exact same dates and we are the two that haven't heard anything.

How long does it usually take for them to receive the medicals? It's only been 3 workdays but I'm excited to see it change haha
