Good Morning folks,

Just received an e-mail from CIC saying they've approved me as a sponsor. Any news is good news right? So will they be e-mailing my husband shortly thereafter or are they just starting second part of stage 1 now (in terms of assessing him)?

Congrats watchnlearn!!!

Would you mind if I ask you when you submitted your application?

Congrats! Your husband should be receiving the AIP notification shortly, and CIC should be moving on to second stage of processing! ;D

Yes, July 22 and I just received 2 separate emails one to my wife and one to me.

I think they are the "Sponsorship Approval" and "Approval in Principle".

The 1st Ltr said

"You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. The Application for Permanent Residence
(APR) for your relative will be processed separately and he/she will be contacted shortly."

the 2nd ltr said

"It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent
residence as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class"

11 months and 2 days man. Since I did not attached the OWP application with my original application, I guess I am not able to apply for OWP rite guys?? (and I am completing the OWP application form now)

After this long wait, can someone kindly advise on what is the next step would be like in relation to OWP & OHIP & SIN?

I know the final decision is not made yet (They can take up to 8 months :( but at least I can contribute to the family income.

As a Chinese and I have to depend on my wife's income in the last 12 months it just frustrated.

Anyhow, may good news to the rest of us soon.

Congrats!! This is great news! ;D

Im a july 18 applicant too, i have yet to hear anything :(

Congrats to both of you. Two good news today. Wish you guys get DMsoon.

My husband and I have received three emails this morning. I belive the first one I got was an AIP, and the others say that he has met all requirement and CIC Calgary office will contact us to have an interview. We sent our application on July 24th, 2013.

I wonder how busy Calgary office is. Please give me ideas if anyone has had an interview at Calgary.

Thank you :)

What's CIC phone number look like? Is it like 1-800? Because i never answer this kind of number.

Wow, so much happening today!:) I'm so happy, looks like CIC-M is really started to work!:)

As for calling CIC, the fastest way to speak to someone: 1-888-242-2100, then Dial 1, WAIT, Dial 3, WAIT, Dial 0

Alright!!! they're really rolling.. a July 22nd applicant and a July 24th applicant have received some good news!
I'm loving this !!!
