Yes I'm thinking to do the same, I'll probably wait out the next week before going to the MP. Thanks for the advise!

Also does it matter if my sponsor is a PR not a citizen, will they still help?

Yes

Also, i dont think that they'll be able to keep the '11 month' for first stage AIP if they process only 3 or 4 days of applications in a week. At this rate is should be 24 months for first stage approval - AIP

wow.... this is unacceptable from a first world country...

I also think like you, and apparently they update July 19, but didn't really processed already those dates in full.
My time line is close to yours and I'm getting very worried about how long is going to take until they get to September applicants.

Gud morning,

Is this what a landing letter says?

" I am pleased to advise you that the processing of you application for Permanent Residence will be finalised at an interview that has been scheduled for: date, time and location ."

I received this yesterday .

May God Bless Us All

Oh wow, yes that looks like a landing letter! Congrats!! ;D

I had a dream last night that we received AIP, they sent us a booklet that showed all the processing they had done! :o
We ordered the notes last month however, and there was no processing other than criminality check having been started, which was the same as last time we ordered notes in January!
Gotta keep dreaming ???

Harmin,

I'm sorry to hear this, but no one can blame you for getting tired of waiting...especially now that CIC seems to have no idea what they're doing.

Good luck to you and your wife. I've enjoyed your presence in this forum.

I'm sorry to hear that Harmin. Wishing you the best in whatever you chose to do next.

Harmin,
You were so close!!!
I am a few months behind you, I have had no problems leaving and coming back on a Singapore passport while Inland was in process.
Outland in Singapore is WAAAAYYYYYY longer than Inland in Canada. The Singapore VO is one of the most swamped offices.
Best of luck to you and the wife anyways.
I understand how it is. Singapore is no comparison to hanging out here not being able to work.
Go enjoy a good plate of Chicken rice and Char Kway Teow with extra Sambal belacan for me.

I am not sure if this is a landing letter or not. This appears to be more of a DM type of letter, but before they do that, they want an interview. USUALLY a DM letter says
"We are pleased to inform you that we have completed processing your application for permanent residence in Canada. The visa office located at XXXX will contact you with further details" Or something very similar to that and then when you get the landing letter, it is from the local office of wherever you live giving you a date and time for landing.

They very well might have changed up the format for this as well, who is to say. In either case, at least they are working.

Hi guys. I know there was a conversation about it already, but just to confirm. For people who were on IEC program and your work permit expired did you apply for tourist visa or not, if you have applied inland and didn't receive AIP?

Hey Alurra71,

On 12 June, I received AIP through email. On the June 13th, I received an email stating what you have mentioned. And on 20th June, I received a mail from etobicoke office stating that the interview is on 24th June.

So, is that landing??
