mrsc08 you are already there:D I have arranged everyone according to the application received dates, so it will be easy to compare with people with similar timeline.

Hey Guri,

Could you please add the 2013 Inland spreadsheet to your signature so it's easier to find the table of the applicants?

Many thanks for taking the time to do this!

Umm this may sound insanely stupid, but I'm going to ask anyway.
How'd you guys check your info how far the process is, I don't remember getting any password or anything :/

I got this email about a month after they received it, which I THINK is the AOR???????? Once you recevie this - you can log in the CIC website and 'check application status' using the numbers they provided :)

"UCI: 9******7
Application No.: F0********
Quote these numbers when corresponding with our office.

Dear SPONSOR,
This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2013/03/25 on behalf of the following member(s):
APPLICANT (me)

How do I check the status of my application?
You may use the UCI number above to check the status of your application on the CIC website. Please visit www.cic.gc.ca/english and in the “I Need To ...” section on the right-hand side of the page, select “Check application status.” "

I wanna know the same!! :)

Hi Line.a,

Your sponsor has to receive the AOR letter which will be send via email first. The letter will be as laura8388 mentioned above. Then you fill details of your sponsor (not yours) through this website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/my_application/status.asp

Good luck.

Thank you very much!
i am not sure if i'm freaking out for no or some apparent reason.
we applied for common-law and signed and added the "common-law union declaration" or whatever it was called.. were we supposed to do that?
i'm super afraid it's going to be returned to us because we made some kind of mistake.. never puts me to rest to be honest.

I also applied as a Common-Law and we sent the "common-law union declaration" as well.

Now it is the time for you to sit back and relax. As it might talk for a while to get AIP.

Did you make any mistake? Or you just been worried?

I'm worried beyond compare i can tell you that much :'(
I have no clue, i personally was lost in the whole process lol.
I should have made a copy of the exact application we sent off, just to make sure. I don't remember too much of what we provided and so on, but i'm genuinely worried that we missed something, misrepresented something by mistake, but i'm sure a lot of people feel like me!

Can I get a correction on the timeline please? We did send an OWP with our app. :)

I guess no one has heard anything yet? Can't believe CIC still hasn't updated their wait times yet! Should we be calling them if we end up waiting longer than 6 months?

Hey fellow immigrants-to-be and sponsors,

I know that I've seen this somewhere on the CIC website, but I can't find it again. I'm the sponsor (for a common-law spouse), so which of my tax forms do I need to submit? How can I get those forms? I'm quite concerned because I've been volunteering in my partner's home country for two years, so they're zero income and I don't have a job yet. I'm planning on getting employed before we submit, but we are on a timeline.

Thanks!

Hi AchankengCrawford,
You need an Option C print out of your latest tax assessment year their phone number is available in the CRA Website. They Usually send it in the mail and you can expect to receive it within 10-14 business days. You should be aware that the income of the sponsor doesn't affect the outcome sponsorship, however you need to prove that you are both willing to work for a living and not be on welfare. Or have money in the bank. my husband was on EI for a while because of the recession (So didn't make a lot) But was employed when we sent the application. All we had to do was ask for a letter of employment from his company that indicated his annual income. So that should do the trick. But still don't forget to include the Option C print outs or T4s. Payslips from the company can work too. It worked for me cause I am just waiting for a DM now.
Goodluck!

Hello everyone! Can someone confirm me the following:
1. Once you get AIP, its almost certain that u'll NOT have an interview
2. Once you get AIP, you can start working (or u can apply for an OWP, how long would it take?)
3. Once u get AIP, the hardest part is over, medical and criminals and u'll get PR
4. Is not usual that people that got AIP and waived interview, get rejected at last stage.
5. Thanks to the new law (conditionnal PR), visa officers are less strict than what they use to be.

All of these ideas I've picked them up reading different threats on this forum,
In my case, im applying inland, AOR mars 4, 2013, CsQ (quebec) may 9, 2013. Now waiting for AIP if the strike would let me! My husband is a canadian citizen, 4 years together, 2 years married.

Thanks and good luck to everyone! God bless

Does anyone know of anyone who applied late October and received AIP yet. Is it a chance that by coincidence applicants who don't belong to this forum n applied in October ending has gotten AIP already? I just have a gut feeling that some people here will be getting the approval combo; two in one

Hey Jiggyman,

I don't know anyone who applied in late October and received AIP, but I have a friend who applied in like June of 2012 and got AIP in early October. She doesn't belong to this forum. It's very likely that people have gotten AIP who have applied in late October and don't belong to this forum.

Maybe get your MP to look into your case? You might be able to learn a bit more. Did you get your GCMS notes? Might be worth it to order them too.

Just my 2 cents.
