sounion said:That sucks. Sounds like a CRAP consultant.
Nessasary said:@ sounion, I can't say this was a crap consultant because honestly my husband's situation was a little unconventional and she really helped us develop a solid plan towards getting approved. I think she is just a little old school and unaware of some of the things you can get away with; I mean the first stage (AIP) distinctly says "you can now apply for a work permit".

This letter refers to your application for permanent residence under the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class.
We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The Canada Immigration Centre in KITCHENER will contact you concerning your permanent resident status.
Please note: At the time of your appointment, you and your family members, if any, will be required to present the original identification document(s) to the Canada Immigration Centre. A final decision concerning the granting of permanent residence status will be made at that time. If permanent residence is granted, the name that will appear on the confirmation of permanent resident document is your name as it appears on your passport or identity documents.![]()

QuebecOkie said:Congrats to Alurra (HOPEFULLY you get your actual AIP letter soon! Might be the consultant, but CIC has also been bad about not getting some AIP letters out lately, it seems), to sonja, to all the others who received good news, and especially to kriskris for having your family reunited!
I love seeing so much happy news every time I catch up on this thread.![]()
