Spousal sponsorship inland/ dependent outside canada

Just recently, my husband received his AIP and I , my Owp! And that's after almost 3 years of waiting. It's because our file was transferred from Vegreville to a local office. Edmonton io interviewed us and we passed with flying colors!

Anyway, here is my dilemma right now, since we have an accompanying dependent in my home country I am afraid that we will have to wait long again. My OWP is until oct. 2015, i should be happy I know, but what i can see from this is another 2 years of waiting before me and my son land. Meaning i can't still see him for 2 years. Because technically, inland applicants can't go outside canada until they are landed. Is this right? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Now, here is what I have in mind. Before I even got my owp, I have a bonded work permit from my employer and it's also until 2015. And it is under skilled worker NOC B. Which gives me an opportunity to apply for a STUDENT PERMIT for my son. I am wondering if they would allow this kind of situation? My son coming here as a visitor under student permit while waiting for us to land permanently. Is this possible?

I really want to get him as soon as possible because he is at the stage of adolescence and needs parents to guide him. And also, his guardians are my 67 year old mom who had a stroke and my aunt who is 60 who is taking care of my mom. These situation is really breaking my heart since i am givibg them responsibilities that I myself should do!

I need advise with my situation. Please help!

Please can you post your timeline so others have an idea of where you were in the queue. Thanks

I'm so happy that lots of AIP and DM's now, I really cant wait for mine, hopefully it will be sometime next month... Im a Dec 24, 2012 applicant , but they requested me to redo one of the form(Schedule A Background) on Feb 1, 2012 and I was able to send it by March 1, 2012..I was wondering if will it delay my application??? Will I still be considered a Dec 2012 applicant? -your ideas are greatly appreciated.

2. Another question is, I did include my daughter (5 yrs old) in my application. Does she needs to do medical exam? Does my application be transferred to Manila , since ?I have a 5 yrs old dependent.

Thanks and God bless us all :)

It is quite possible that may be your landing date. Sounds like that have your landing date made and the mail letter is on it way to your address.

Sounion, please check here. Currently, it takes 54 days.
Processing times: Permanent Resident Card
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-card.asp

After the interview, your information will be sent to CPC-Sydney. I think the landing place doesn't affect the speed of processing the PR card.
