If you are currently working in Canada and have applied for a OWP and also Submitted your IN-Land application you can still continue LEGALLY until you hear back from CIC if your application has been accepted or refused.

I know many people who have still continued to work, even if their SIN/Work Permit has expired because they are allowed to do so until they have received the OWP.

Hi besunshine.

I received my DM on July2. I received letter in mail on Jul 26 telling me I have landing Date on Aug 12. I landed in Vancouver Expo location on Aug 12. Hope that helps

congrats on landing... We are still waiting for ours... DM on May 6 and still waiting for the letter...

My husband and I were planning on travelling back home in January, and even with the delay i figured that was plenty of time to get everything sorted. but reading your post made me realize thats probably not gonna happen. Am still waiting on DM and have no way of knowing when thats going to come through. Best of luck with getting your travel document though

My wife called CIC just moments ago about the status on her PR card. CIC told her that they mailed the PR card in the mail yesterday. So good news to hear. I would suspect we will get the PR card sometime by Friday or early next week at the latest.

I would suggest that you call CIC about your PR card. My wife called about it and they told her it is mailed yesterday.

My wife called CIC just moments ago about the status on her PR card. CIC told her that they mailed the PR card in the mail yesterday. So good news to hear. I would suspect we will get the PR card sometime by Friday or early next week at the latest.

Wow! I wonder why I haven't received a letter from the Vancouver office yet...It's been over a month now and my COPR expires on Oct 18th...same day my medicals expire...Looks like the Vancouver office doesn't give appointments based on how they get DM. Well I trust God will make a way for me as He has done throughout this process. Congrats to all who have had landing dates. Please anybody who had DM after July 18th and is landing in Vancouver, could you let us know when you get landing letter.

WOW, you are not going to believe this! I just talked with CIC and they had no address for us on file. I was shocked. I said we had recieved letters during the process. I was told that the address you give during the process does not transfer over and that if the landing officer does not ask you for an address then they have no address for you. They were waiting for me to give them an address. They will now send us the card in 6 weeks.

I guess I am in a bit of schock as to why our address does not transfer over and even more so; why nobody bothered to ask why or try to contact us. You're welcome. Glad to be of help. However with advice of making sure your landing officer has your address is good advice, it means diddly swat to me as who is to say that the address will get transferred or not even if they got your address. There was someone mentioning in past posts that when they called CIC about it, they informed about a techical glitch in the system. Could this be the address glitch they were refering to? While waiting over 100 days for your PR card is inexcusable on CIC's part, they put the onus on you to take actions in ensuring they get all the correct updated address/info if PR card is pass dued.

I, too, called CIC today. Not even sure why. Perhaps just because yet another fruitless day of checking the mail had me kind of grumpy. The representative was friendly, but as usual, not particularly helpful. She verified that they are working on apps received Oct 12, and that mine was received Oct 23. She advised me to wait another 3 weeks to a month before calling to inquire again.

She did, however, confirm that CIC has started my background check, which no previous representative has been able to do. Fingers crossed that this means Stage 2 will be fast for me. Assuming I EVER FREAKING GET AIP.

She asked one strange question, as well. She asked if I ever received my CSQ. I told her that I had, AND that I had verification by email (in response to a CSE I sent) that CIC had received the CSQ from MICC quite some time ago. She just said that was good. Strange that she didn't have that information in front of her.

Oh well. Now to decide whether to hit the gym with the hubby today. He won't get off work until after 4pm, and the gym gets pretty crazy by then. A bunch of meathead guys tying up two or three pieces of equipment at the same time as they do a circuit. Yes, I'd like to make a circuit of the 3 or 4 lifting exercises I do each visit. BUT, that's not practical in a gym full of people. Just take a machine, do your sets consecutively, and move on to the next. Meathead. (Can you tell I'm grumpy? Haha!)

i just got off the phone with cic myself, and the have COMPLETED the process!!! i got DM. The agent said an interview date had been set for Sept 16th and i should expect communication withinthe next day or two. Am over the moon!!! ;D

There may still be hope of our January trip back home

How do you find out when will your COPR expire? I am just wondering if that's what happened to us. Delay cause our COPR to expire... since we've been waiting for so long.
