Hello there, I'm so frustrated already. . My application since November 2012 until now hasn't made any decision yet.. I received the AIR already and completed the second medical since the first one expired already. I'm over due to the allotted processing time but I don't understand why they can't make decision at all.

Did you call them or write them an email cauze it's been over 8 months for you on your 2nd stage?

Has anyone timeline for the 2nd stage passed the 8 months? I just reached 8 months and a week. The call centre agent told me they will contact the officer who have my file last week but nothing since then. They said that have everything and the only thing left is for the officer to look at my file and make a decision.

hello yes I have been waiting on DM since 2012 October just sit tight and keep calm it will come I know it's easy to say but you still haven't waited too long I was suppose to get DM last year June and still nothing...

Yes I have I contacted my MP as well they have been waiting on security clearance and background check since last year december

I called several times. They said they would make decision on May but I didn't receive anything. I called back again and said on July, I called back again and said on Aug 25, I called Aug 26 and again they said probably at the end of the year. And my medical will expire on November. .

well I hope you get a DM before that but if I were you Ii would start saving money for the new medicals since it ridiculously expensive

Just paid $400 for two medicals, plus x-ray and blood work fees

. Yes I know it is ridicules how much money they want for it and then if somethings not right you gotta go back and redo the test again. Plus for me to get to the closest immigration doctor I have to travel 3 hours so I have to take a whole day off of work and loose even more money... they have this thought out pretty good

You can submit a privacy act request to CSIS - that will tell you what's holding up the background/security check (sometimes CSIS is done but CIC loses it).

Some countries can take a very long time - that's because these checks are not office checks, they are field checks - someone has to actually go make inquiries to ensure you are not involved in genocide, terrorism, war crimes, organized crime, etc. - these are not things that show up in a database (like your police record).

I am shocked this thread is still open from 2012 and there are STILL PEOPLE WAITING from 2012!!!!
