I jus got home and saw a mail from cic stating ...

I am please to advise you that the processing of your application for permanent residence will be finalized at an interview that has been scheduled for the 25/09/2013....

What do they mean by interview?

I guess that it's a landing interview. You are lucky because you don't have to wait for it for a long time. Congrats! :)

Hey Everyone, just wonderng about the medical, exam. Do they expect you to do it all over again if it expires during their extremely long processing times? Our medical was probably done in August of 2012 so will no longer be valid, but that is not our fault, they asked for it sent with our app so thats what we did...Has anyone else been asked for this because it has expired? and has anyone else's expired and they have not been asked for another?

Really dont wanna spend anothe $400

Hey,
Did you mean another $200 something? It costs $225 here in Toronto.

I got desion made Sunday and landing date 3 days after

Congrats vincyboy.

I got to say that is the fastest time I have seen coming out of etobicoke CIC office.

Etobicoke office is usually the busiest of all CIC due to higher population there.

I will update timesheet tomorrow

Congrats on your landing.

Hey guys, quick question - has anyone had any experience with FOSS notes? If so, when would be a good time to order something like this? This is a completely new idea to me so I'm not sure how that works....

You just have to sit and wait. If CIC never request for your medical again all the better. But the moment they do ask for a redo of your medical you have no choice but to suck it up, pay the medical bills and do it again.

Just hope they don't ask for a medical redo.

Okay thanks a lot Screech339, let's wait and hope for the best :)

My application was received on 26th October 2012 by vegerville. Today 11th sep 2013, I receive an email from CIC requesting to undergo a new medical. Seems like the one I sent with my file is considered expired. No updates on any AIP yet. This sucks, more money for the Medical and more wait time. Isn't medical suppose to be a part of second stage after the AIP is offered?

Jolly your anxiety is infectious lol.... Am home getting so anxious myself. Don't worry yourself, your AIP is coming.

@ Bethfaint wow, congrats to u. Didn't know your AIP would have come this soon after Jolly but am soooo happy to see all these movements.

Next in line is sunsun then me** sigh

Screech, many thanks for keeping up with the spreadsheet. I'm sure it's not always convenient, but I can't help but be happy that you've been so much busier lately. :)

Thanks quebecokie,

It is not a problem updating timesheets really. A lot of copying and pasting. I have 3 spreadsheets made. One excel as you can see, 2 excel for print to pdf format and I just import the excel into google spreadsheet.

Sounds like it is a hassle but it is not when you get used to updating it and if you control the sheet yourself. No offense to rusty, but too many hands in the cookie jar in maintaining the spreadsheet. Can get some errors or mistakes that can't easily be fixed/undo.

Well, it's appreciated. Even when I should have stepped away from the computer and tried to stop thinking about it, it was nice to have a spreadsheet to look over, to see who was in the same boat as me, to see when others finally saw some movement. And now, to see a bit about the timeline for landing in Montreal. You're far, FAR more informative than CIC, haha!

Maintaining a spreadsheet is a lot more reassuring in that you can see the forest instead of seeing a single tree. CIC will not give you any info on how everyone is doing or know what kind of progress CIC is doing. The spreadsheet will at least give you "inside info" on CIC's progress. It help single applicant keep their sanity in knowing how everyone else is doing and what sort of expectations in timelines.

I was just talking to my sis about the forum today. How it's impossible to KNOW when I can come visit, but I can give her hopeful guesses and estimates because of the spreadsheet on this forum.
