Congrats bethfaint!

And UGH! I'm not sure CIC could be more inconsistent if inconsistency was the stated goal of the organization! My husband received the AOR letter (I think it was the AOR letter, anyhow) back in January. He never received further communication. No sponsor email notice, I just received the AIP/DM letters by email. Doesn't it seem it would be easier to handle that whole immigration thing if there was some damned set policy/procedures for handling apps?!?!?!!?

No problem Tomorisu,

Glad to be of help in clarifying the differences between sponsor email notice and applicant's AIP email.

In any case, when the sponsor gets his/her qualification as PR sponsor, it is good news as it means AIP email is soon to follow anytime.

Thanks, Screech. I have one more question. Does sponsor receive DM? Or is it sent to only applicant?

Only the applicant gets DM. Once the sponsor gets his/her qualification email as sppnsor, that's it. No further communication to the sponsor. All further communications gets focused on the applicant from then on to landing.

Medical records are valid for 1 year. However CIC can grant 3-6 months extensions to the medical reports at their discretion if warranted under the circumstances.

Thanks for the reply @Screech339, one more question pls, so I did my medicals on Dec. 17th 2012 and my app was received by CIC on Jan. 14th 2013 and they started processing it on Feb 9th 2013. So lets hope for AIP before Dec 17th 2013 for my medicals to be valid right? If not that means I might have to redo medicals before am given AIP?

I got my personal UCI number but its not
allowing me to check ecas with it. Isn't it the same way
You'd check as you would with your spouses UCI except you're
now using your info?
Maybe it's too early to check? I'm hoping my status there says AIP?
My hubby ecas is yet to change, still says
Application received and I'm process!

It sucks to see you having to wait 5 days before you call back for AIP again. You should have gotten AIP moments after your husband gotten his qualification email. Here's to hoping you get one in the next 24 hrs.

Screech339

@screech it's a little disappointing and very frustrating!!
Hoping it miraculously shows up? Delayed email?
Grrr

It may be too early. If I'm not mistaken your status won't be available until you get AIP on ecas.

You just have to sit and wait. If CIC never request for your medical again all the better. But the moment they do ask for a redo of your medical you have no choice but to suck it up, pay the medical bills and do it again.

Just hope they don't ask for a medical redo.

When I log in with my personal info as the one being sponsored, I have to use the application number with my name and birth date information. To see my husband's side as the one sponsoring, I use the UCI number and his name and birth date info. My side only shows the status of the PR application while my husband's shows the Sponsorship status and PR. Hope that helps!

I figured I would be wrong as it is hard to recall such details that happened prior to AIP status. LOL.

I jus got home and saw a mail from cic stating ...

I am please to advise you that the processing of your application for permanent residence will be finalized at an interview that has been scheduled for the 25/09/2013....

What do they mean by interview?
