@ dawnng,

If you wish to be put on timesheet, please let me know and also provide your timeline. Country of origin and where you are living now.

Good luck on your OWP application.

Sure, why not? Ok, let me answer your question:

Country of Origin: Singapore
Where living now: Toronto
Submitted application:24 Sep 2012
AIP received on: 2 Mar 2013
Police Certificate submitted on: 24 May 2012

Now I'm applying for OWP and continue to wait! Does this help?

Really? Wow, what a small world! Is he living with you now in Canada? Some say the wait when the application is done in Singapore is shorter! But now I have no other choice, I'm already and have applied within Canada.

Wow! You got the AIP less than 5 months, lucky you!

I've been waiting for AIP more than 6 months now.

In your case I think it is better to apply OWP now. Good luck.

@Mrembo

It's only God right now!!!His time isn't our time. He knows what he's doing. Sometimes rather than complaining lets just sing him some high praises. He's Jehovah and He's working out for our good

i like the change.org petition idea. gives some sort of outlet, however little for the frustration it;s causing.

@ dawnng,

Welcome board. Timesheets have been updated with you added. If you could provide your date of AOR, it would be great if not, don't worry about it. Let me know of any corrections if I entered any of your info incorrectly.

At least we received OWP today.
We had received it back when we got AIP in November but expired with passport in January 2013. So had to get new passport and reapply for work permit
Sent application for OWP again at the end of March and OWP received today so about 10 weeks.

When did most of you get your OWP around the 6mth mark or beyond?

What does OWP stand for? I am unsure what that acronym is.

Open work permit :)

It stands for open work permit that is only given to inside Canada applicants when they're approved or be eligible for permanent residence

But like I said.. I was wondering when most of you were getting it?
