Received my AOR today. Filed Dec. 11, 2012 Also received my marriage certificate in the mail today and my police check arrived from St. Vincent last week. Am going to send them all on to Vegreville tomorrow so hopefully no more delays.

Nigea. Congrats. We may actually be finished with AOR's for 2012. I think that Confrentis may have recieved an AOR as well. If that is the case then we are all onto the next stage. Let's hope 2013 is a very fast year!

However, I am having hard time getting dubai police clearance, is anyone had experience the fastest way to get this certificate of good conduct?

I googled, and found this:

Sounds like something that will take a bit of time.

If there is an embassy close by, try that. I had to get a police certificate from Turkey and was dreading that whole procedure, but it ended up being really easy. Luckily there's a Turkish consulate in Toronto and after applying in person (and for no fee!!) I had my police check within a week!

Also, and !!please please someone correct me on this if I am giving bad information!! if your application is completed and the only thing you are still waiting on is the police reference check, send the application off! You can always send the police reference check off once you receive it and have it added to your application.

That's absolutely my worries if i have "to follow" sending my dubai police clearance later or shall i wait for it (for about a week) and include in the application. The thing is if i send it later, maybe it will cause delay on the whole process. Anyone has idea on this will be much appreciated!

Police record?

Hi all,
We're about to submit my PR application this week. I'm a U.K. Citizen and my common-law partner is Canadian, she is sponsoring me. I've been here for nearly two years now - I just keep renewing my visitor record.

Here's my question, do I need to supply a police record? I ask as being from the U.K. I dont need a visa to be in Canada.

Yes you do. Regardless of what nationality you are you need to prove them that you don't have criminal records.

Yup! Unfortunately, it's for every country you've lived in for more than 6 months (since your 18th Birthday), aside from Canada. The good news is the UK police clearance is pretty fast to acquire. Mine only took a week! Here's the site link!

Hi all! Ok, finally finished arranging my application. But one more question. Do the visa extension and OWP application get mailed in the same package as the PR forms, or do they get mailed separately to the different address?

My immigration medical was sent to Ottawa on the 11th Dec, I wondered if anybody with similar timescales had heard anything or any ideas on how long it might take to appear on ECAS?
