I guess u may also consider ordering your FOSS file though I hvnt received mine and not sure if it will give any new / useful information.
Thank you so much for your reply, Ichbinella. How do I apply for the FOSS notes? I also got off the phone with CIC Call Center and the agent said she doesn't see anything updated yet in the system, that may be the mail has not been opened yet so I should call again at the beginning of February to check again. I am just fed up. Please I need info on how to apply for the FOSS notes. Also how about my husband meeting his local MP? Would that work because the first stage is now 11months and the timeline now say it should be 6months. Thanks for all.

Hello :)
i have 2 questions.
I send my inland application at the end of september. But i didnt included a application for a new work permit. My work permit ends at the end of june. So i guess i will need a new one. What form should i use??

The second question is, i live in quebec and i dont really know when do i have to start the application for Quebec? The Callcenter said after the application in canada. but does it mean after its finished or after the first steps?

Many greetings!!

Check off privacy act if you are requesting it on your own behalf inside Canada which is free. or access to information act if you are requesting it on someone elses behalf and with this option you must pay $5. Check electronic notes as this will not effect the process of your application.

hello, did you receive any letter fom cic yet? usually, after you receive an AOR, aknowledgement of receipt, there's another letter instructing you to pply for your CSQ at immigration quebec. About your work permit, once you get an AIP, first stage approval, you can apply an open work permit online.

i havent got any letter yet, but my girlfriend, who is my sponsor got an email with confirmation that our application is there, but nothing about quebec there... maybe it will come later??

I have been waiting over 14 months after my physical is this normal waiting period for those applications sent to buffalo ny

that's good, i think that's ur Aor, your sponsor should be receiving another letter from cic instructing you to apply for CSQ to immigration quebec. My advice is to download the right form from immiration quebec site and have it filled up so when tha letter arrives, you're CSQ application is good to go.

The 30 days is a statutory requirement, regardless of holidays. I'd be surprised if you don't receive it on Monday.

Well everyone is asking for foss notes these days ,i m also thinking too since its so silent out there. We have to choose Immigration Appl under electronic notes ?

A quick question as well ,by grace of God my spouse has got a good job in ottawa so i was just wondering if we shall send his employment letter to cic -V ,will that be helpful ?

Hi, I had a few questions about the residency process and extension of visitor status...

I submitted my application for residency under the family class/common law from inside Canada, my application was received sept 6 2012, my sponsor had an email dated 27 November that they had received the application, and it is now showing as 'in process' on the cover website.

I was in Canada on a working holiday visa from October 15 2011 to October 15 2012, and when I entered Canada after going on vacation on sept 20th 2012 I was given a visitor stamp by the border agent and told I was okay for six months. (even after my whv ran out) We then left for a weekend trip to the us and when I read-entered the border agent asked why I had the stamp. I explained and she said follow up with cic, so I submitted an extension of visitor status online (which would change my status from worker to visitor) and currently have implied status. I put on the application that I wanted to extend my stay due to living with my fiance and having my residency application in progress. I also mentioned the visitor stamp I was given and included a copy in the supporting documents.

Now that my application shows in progress would they be able to see that when they are deciding on giving me an extension?
I'm just starting to worry myself so any help is appreciated :)

Yes, you want electronic notes. A physical file request will disrupt the normal processing of your application. Dumping the database records from the computer will not.

It is unlikely to matter, but it won't hurt, either. What's most likely is that the letter will never be joined back up with the file.
