nicole, congratulations on AIP. It could take anywhere from 1 day to 9 months to get the 2nd stage approved. You never know. You could have approval a few days from now even.

Serendipidy, I also thought of that too but they do extend medicals and police records. Don't spend your money on another medical. If I were you I would just wait and see what CIC says. That is what I have been told to do and that is what I am going to do too.

Hi everybody!!

I have some good news to share. I called today CIC and the agent told me that we got first stage of approval and I got my work permit. She said that the letter was sent last Friday. I checked e-cas and it is still on "in process"...

Yeah that's the only thing I can do now~~ 8) I just don't know when did they they send out AIP mail, I can't check sponsor's status because no Client ID.

Thanks angtao, I just thought that AIP mail only shows in Sponsor's status not applicant's. I am applicant, my hubby doesn't have client ID.

nicole, you will at least get a letter saying that you got AIP. If you applied for an OWP then you will probably get that too.

Yesterday I checked my status and got an exciting update, just have a little question.

We received your application for permanent residence on November 8, 2010.

We started processing your application on December 20, 2010.

Medical results have been received.

We received the requested information on June 28, 2011. Thank you for providing the information.

A decision has been made and you will be contacted.


It still shows "In Process", and no words saying "we sent you letter...", does that mean anything? is there any possible i am been rejected? Or it's basically good news!
