Hi,

Filing inland application for spouse, what should I put in "Immigration office requested for processing application" part?
Guide suggests putting citizenship country, but that doesnt sound right for inland... help please!

Thank you!

CPC-Vegreville for inland.

Thank you!
But here are the instructions which are confusing, and seem to say NOT to use CPC for it :(

******************
Immigration Office requested for the processing of your application

Indicate the name of the Immigration Office which serves:

your country of nationality, or
the country in which you are residing, provided that you have been lawfully admitted to that country for at least one year.
Note: Do not select the CIO as the immigration office requested to process your application. Although you may be required to will submit your application to the CIO, you must indicate the name of an appropriate visa office using the criteria above.

Note: If you are applying for refugee protection from within Canada, this question does not apply to you. Go to Question 5.

Yes, that's strange. They can't fault you for following the instruction guide, so I would just go by your spouse's nationality.

Are you looking at the right guide? There's two different guides. One for outland and one for inland.

I am pretty sure this one is INland :

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5289ETOC.asp#5289E4
If you search for "Immigration Office requested for the processing of your application" it's there~ very confusing stuff...

thanks!

Hi Denis,

I'm applying for inland sponsorship and I'm currently struggling with this problem too. Did you on the end put the citizenship country? Did it work?

Thanks

you have to put your local office....if you in montreal, you say montreal, if you in nova scotia, you simply say nova scotia. what it meant is what office you would wanna land as a pr.

vegreville is a case processing centre,..local offices does the landing and they have the final say for PR applicants

Hi

Why Vegreville? What about what Sage81 said?

Because Vegreville processes the application to the initial approval phase. Then it is transferred to the local CIC. Vegreville knows from your residential address which office to send it to.
