It doesn't really take that long. I had my last medicals done on February 6, 2012 and the medical officer signed off on them (in Ottawa) on March 12, 2012 (I have a copy of that sign-off letter, in fact.) The Visa Office might take several additional months to pull the results and add them to your file, of course.

Unfortunately, we didn't send the medical/criminal checks, so stage 2 will take a while for us. We did send in the OWP app - assuming we're approved, I should be the OWP soon, and now my status is AIP, is that right?

so i called the call centre yet again today, told the representative, i've
been waiting now from since may 23rd for the decision made letter..that i never got
she put me on hold for about 10 min and told me it appears, that nothing was mailed out..

so after 5 weeks my aip will finally be mailed out, the representative said its another 8 months

but does anyone know how long its takes before I'm finally landed??

just spoke with a CIC agent - they advised me that my 'Decision Made', is Approved in Principle!!!

congratulation avigtr all Aug applications whos got their mail ... i recieved my mails 1 the approved & the other my work permit wooooow really i'm so happy although there is mistake in my name and i dont know how i will modify it but i'm happy .. so now i'm waiting their call phone for the interview YEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
