+1(514) 937-9445 or Toll-free (Canada & US) +1 (888) 947-9445
I always wait 15 minutes between each call. ryan_stw, I haven't heard that line before. Mine always said: "Your call cannot be transferred please try again later." Usually I either just can't get through at all or I have to wait 8-10 minutes to talk to an agent.

But as stated, it would be no surprise if it isn't busier today just because people are trying to get their calling in before the long weekend.

I just learned around 4pm that the problem is not with CIC's hotline but with Shaw's phone service, all phone service in Vancouver was down >:( >:( >:( >:(

Anyways, i got through the line at exactly 4pm and all agents are already gone, so that means i have to call again by Tuesday.

I went into the the Canada post trade union website. there will be no strike on the 26 th of May, good news!!

this is the link about the news:

Thanks for the advice, i will try my best to call CIC later today. My last name is short, and my first name is around 12 letters, i just noticed that my street address was not correctly spelled, 1 letter missing :(

Ya Ecas seems to mess up a lot they had our address wrong!! They forgot our apt number so I had to update it ! Ever since i updated it i cant log back into ecas... so stupid...:(:( >:(

Yeah I would definitely call today then to correct the mistakes. Let us know how it goes.
By the way here is a link to a website that tells you how long the call centre is open in your area and how to skip to an agent.
I figured you might find it handy. I would try calling today since "Victoria Day" will be on Monday. Good luck.
Here's the website: http://immipedia.ca/CIC_call_centre

I was finally able to call CIC today, and they said that due to space constraints, only the first few letters will be reflected online, i wonder if anyone ever encountered this thing? As for the street address, they will rectify the error, i will try to log to ecas again to see if they made the change.

I saw a guy from another Forum who literally sent about 4 Kg of paperwork, he even posted a pic of the huge thing, the only think that came to my mind was seen and Immigration Officer carrying it all around on his back.

crazy stuff...

4 kgs??? probably it was all photos, photos weigh a lot.. even then.....i sent 60 photos(that is a good number) in total and my application was only 600 g

I am sure that the person that said 4 kg was wrong. That is almost 9 pounds. I don't believe it.

Inlandappl, we sent in 70 pictures. I think we should have sent at least 100 but my immigration consultant said that 70 was a really good amount.

I am not sure how much our package weighed as I am not the one that mailed it.
