Hi,

Guys I have certain questions arising in my mind which I need to clear out; a little information from anyone would be highly appreciated..

I don't have any of my family members currently residing in Canada..

1) Can I apply for an open work permit with a Temporary resident visa TRV?

2) What is the process of obtaining a temporary resident permit..? and how can I apply for it?

3) If I Visit Canada on TRV, what are the chances of getting a job there as a General Worker?

4) How much funds do I need to show to the Immigrant officers in the port of entry for TRV? I have around CAD $3000 Is it enough ?

1) No - you don't qualify to apply for an open work permit.
2) http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/tourist.asp
3) Low.
4) If you are planning on staying for six months, it would better to be able to show more if asked.

I've gone through this already, I know, As I don't belong from a visa exempt country I need a TRV to enter but there's also a requirement of a letter of invitation from someone who lives in Canada. Now as I told you None of my family member or relative are presently residing in Canada.. SO there are no chances of getting an invitation letter..

I just want to know that, can I apply for Temporary resident permit directly from my country ?

You are applying for a temporary resident VISA (not a PERMIT - this is something completely different).

Yes - you can still apply for a TRV without an invitation letter.
