Out of curiosity when did she apply for H&C and when was she denied? There seems to be a large volume of parents applying for H&C t because of the wait for PGP so assume IRCC may become more strict about approving these H&C applications.
Applied May 2023 refused Aug 2024.

Is there a way for me to call IRCC to check? I also applied with a consultant and they haven't said anything
I applied with a consultant as well, IRCC will not tell you, they cannot give you an update or estimated time. When your application is received, your consultant will be made aware and every update will be given to them, all you can do is wait for now and periodically check with your consultant.

What are you trying to confirm?

If it's the work permit, then unfortunately you won't qualify for one with AOR. You have to wait for the actual TRP to be approved.

How did your consultant get the update? My consultant isn't checking actively. Can you tell me if your consultant got an AOR ?

They don’t have to check your file you get notified of any updates. Processing for TRPs are generally long so you need to plan for that.

My consultant gets an email update from IRCC/CBSA, Your consultant wont get any info or wont be able to check until either they need more info from him, or the TRP process is complete. He gave me an update that i got an AOR about 4 months back. The thing is, i have seen people in this thread get an AOR then wait half a year or two to get their TRP. An AOR is just a receipt letting you know that they have your application, they haven't opened or read it yet, and it is not a status, so you cant study, work or maintain status with it.

My TRP just got rejected, no reason was given on the rejection letter. My family and immigration consultant want me to get a GCMS note, and then file a judicial review, but i am ready to leave. I haven't left my bed since i was given my first PGWP rejection decision in 2022, only to go to the bathroom to shower or eat and come back, i dont have energy due to depression/being an introvert, i have my sister and nephew living with me but its hard.
I appreciate all my experiences here, but i also understand i broke the law by overstaying, willfully or not.
Thank you all for your help and I'll give updates on the judicial review.

Date of Application: March 23 2023
Decision: September 23 2024

Hi All, Question - I applied for a subsequent TRP within Canada before my previous one expired. However after that, my outland TRP was approved.

I forgot to withdraw the subsequent TRP application and today got this letter:

This refers to your application for a temporary resident permit received 04/16/2024. No action is being taken to process your request for the following reasons:
[X] On 2024/06/22 you were issued a TRP (Document # MXXXXXXXXX) through a previously submitted TRP application (DXXXXXXXXX) with a validity through to 2026/06/19 which covers the requested period of stay in this TRP application.

Is No action being taken a refusal or just a.. nothing? Ive never had an application refused before and i know thats a question on future applications for me (PR).. so do i still need to withdraw it? Had it been refused.. the 'No Action' statement is throwing me.
Appreciate any advice!

It's not a refusal. It's technically withdrawn on your behalf so you don't need to do anything. IRCC is notifying you that application will not be processed and that it's removed from the processing queue.
