Information about Student permit visa

Good evening !

I have 2 questions hope someone can help me understand.

1-Is the medical exam obligatory for everyone ? because I applied 6 weeks ago for a student permit visa to go and study in BC, Canada and they never asked me for one. the college I am applying to does not require any medical exam though.

2- When they will call me to go pick up my passport, will they tell me your visa is ready or they only say come pcik up your passport then I will know when I get there ?

I am just getting really nervous.

If the duration of your visit is six months or less:

Generally, no medical examination is required.

However, a medical examination is required if you intend to work in an occupation in which the protection of public health is essential. Please see Jobs for which you need a medical examination for more information.

If the duration of your visit is more than six months:

You will need a medical examination if:

you have resided or stayed temporarily for six or more consecutive months in a designated country or territory in the one year immediately preceding the date you sought entry into Canada. This applies even if you are a citizen of a country where you do not require a visa to enter Canada.
you are coming to Canada to work in an occupation in which the protection of public health is essential. See Jobs for which you need a medical examination for more information.
you are applying for a Parent and Grandparent Super Visa.

2- When they will call me to go pick up my passport, will they tell me your visa is ready or they only say come pcik up your passport then I will know when I get there ?

They will tell you directly if you got the visa or not

Hi

I applied for permit student visa, this means a medical is required. as the university is for 1 year.

and if I understood right, when they call me to go pick up the passport they will tell me I got the visa.
