Indian PCC Processing Time

Nowadays what is the processing time for Indian PCC from Passport Seva Kendra in India. Earlier we used to get it on the same day.

It is still same day. Walk in before 9 AM, they don't entertain any Police Clearance cases after that. You will walk out with the certificate in 3 hours

But I got appointed time at 4pm?

You should get it the same day - try and getting the appointment before 11. You can always postpone your appointment. In cases where a Tatkal Passport was issued (and no PV done) - then only there may be a 2-3 day period.

If you haven't had a police verification in 13 years, they will send it for verification to the police department. ( my passport was renewed when I was out of the country, hence my last police verification was 17 yrs ago)
Police came to my address for verification on the 5th working day and 5 working days from this, the passport seva Kendra sent me the SMS asking me to come and collect the PCC. (PSK Cochin, Kerala, India)
