I've received an ITA with a deadline of 23-Jan-2023. I need to get an Indian PCC, and I've a couple of questions.
Situation:
Right now, I'm visiting India and will return to the US on 05-Jan-2023. Also, my passport is issued from India.
Concerns/Questions:
Question 1:
Can I initiate a PCC request in India? Will it be valid, since I have to travel back to the US.
Does anyone have any input on this?
Question 2:
If I initiate a PCC request through the Indian Consulate in NYC, I might miss the deadline, since they have changed the procedure of issuing PCC. They are now outsourcing requests through VFS Global, and the request will be sent to India.
Does anyone know the most recent tentative timeline for receiving PCC when requested at the Indian Consulate in the US (New York)?
Would you recommend going with this approach?
Any other suggestions are also welcome.
