Indian passport surrender in india ( passport issued in Toronto)

Hello everyone,
I recently became Canadian citizen, for some reasons i had to come to india right after getting my canadian passport. I staying here for little longer.
My question is
Can I surrender my indian passport here in india if Indian passport was issued in Toronto ?

please reply if somebody answers of this ?

Thank you for your reply i checked his posts, got really useful information from there.
but my question still not clear if i can surrender Indian passport issued from Toronto in India.
Somebody told me if my passport issued from Toronto then you can only surrender it in Toronto.

I think so you can, passport is issued GOI through the Passport office or it’s various mission across the world
My passport was issued for example in Dubai but I surrendered it here in Toronto

your query is specific you might only get firm answer from CGi Toronto, try and contact them via there online portal like Sampark

Okay thank you so much. I found one person in another thread whose passport was issued in Toronto and he surrendered it in india. But still confirm from CGi as you said.
