Indian Passport Renewal from BLS Toronto

Hi - Guys

My passport is expiring in 5 days and the status has been changed to "Passport application is under review at Indian Embassy\/Consulate.", how much longer before it advances to the next step - without a passport i am unable to apply for WP extension.

The inspect mode doesnt show any updates.

What did you do for extension I am in same boat?

Normal renewal takes 3 weeks or in total 29 days from the date of submission.

I am not certain about these two. At worse, it cannot take beyond 6 weeks.

I had my police verification done 4 days back, but in the portal it still shows "Passport application form has been submitted." and no other update. Is anyone else on the same status? I got an email for Police verification but no updates on the BLS or passport seva portal

Are you tracking with the right application ref number ? Did BLS rep make changes to your form ?

For me, It took about 9 days from the actual police visit to online status change.
The Police Officer visited my permanent residence in Mumbai on July 21 and the online status changed to PV complete today - July 31.

I expect to receive by August 20 max.

A question I missed self attestation of some docs when I asked bls person they said when you submit in person it doesn’t matter is that right?
