Indian National Visiting Family In Canada With Visitor Visa

Hello,

I will be visiting Canada to visit family and I am an Indian national with a valid canadian visitor visa.
I have a few questions.

- I will be transitting through Frankfurt Int'l, will I need a transit visa? I have a valid canadian visa and i read that you dont need one if you have a visa to Canada.
- Is it nessecary to have a return ticket? My stay will be about 6 months and I will asses the return date once I adjust in canada. I have strong family ties in india and land in india, is this enough to show that i have plans to go back to india?

I can't help with the first question.

For the second question, yes, you need a return ticket. Most likely the airline will refuse boarding if you only have a one way ticket.

A 6 month stay is highly unusual if you are of working age. If you are able to leave for 6 months your ties will not be considered very strong. Do you have significant funds to show that you can stop working for 6 months and support yourself with savings?
