Indian Emergency Visa (Vancouver (or) BC Surrey ) for REGINA resident

Hi

I got Canadian passport in Feb,2016 but still now I didn't surrender the Indian passport .

My mother is very critical condition (she is in ICU) in India so I want to go to India urgently .

So where can I get the Indian emergency visa ?
Do I have to go Vancouver (or) BC Surrey to get the Indian emergency visa . As I'm staying in Regina now

If you have a valid Indian Passport, you do not require any other documentation to enter. Just present your Indian Passport on entry.

India does not allow dual citizenship so with you being canadian, you cannot use your indian passport. Why can't you use your Canadian passport to enter India.

you need a visa to travel to india if you're a canadian passport holder.. just go to the consulate they will issue you a emergency visa as long as you're able to provide some sort of document or something.. for the urgency

My apology, I thought the OP wanted to use Indian Passport to enter India. The OP would have to go to Indian embassy or consulate and apply for a visa to enter India.

I was told that Indian Embassy do take special considerations to former Indians.

Forget about not surrendering Indian passport for now. There will be a small fine when you do that later...

If the Indian passport is still valid you could use that to fly out to India and return to Canada with
Canadian passport. The fines you pay once you surrender Indian passport later is a little higher,
but it's just a fine...
