Hi there and Congrat. you know I submitted my application at the same time july 2007, I recieved a request for the full documents July 2009, i am still preparing the dpcuments but definitly will send them the end of this month, just wish me a good luck. regards

I applied in 2007 at Beijing office. I want to ask you this..when you sent in your documents as requested in July 2009..was it for the initial assessment stage? were the documents sent by you copies or originals? Iam asking this because i got my documents requested in May 2009 and I sent them in August 2009 within the said time frame.My documents were all photocopies apart from the police record and reference letters which were required in their original form.what was your situation? Thanks buddy and congratulations!

Guys, the DMP in birmingham just finished my medicals and he said he will contact me if there anything untoward.
He said if everything is ok, he will DHL it to london today. Now I can party. Waiting for news from the DMP.
Tonnyinchinna, i sent original first degree transcripts, original Msc transcripts, original work experience letter, original police clearance,
original IELTS, original letters of identification, one for me, one for my brother in canada (from my local government in nigeria) confirming name of our parents, our dates of birth and our names, original payslips, original business card for my supervisor, my original promotion letter, e.t.c Most of the stuff I sent were originals and they have returned all of them including the IELTS. They didn't return police clearance certificate and transcripts of course. The transcripts were addressed to them so it is their property.

Just to update you guys, the DMP sent me an e-mail to confirm that he had forwarded the results to london yesterday, he gave me
a tracking number too. London CHC received it this morning. I will let you know how it goes. Thanks to all of you.

Hi Chandan,

You seem so different from many other applicants. Others
are worried sick that they will end up as taxi drivers,
pizza deliverymen, janitors, security guards, etc. The cold
weather; -30 degree Celsius, homesickness, giving up well-paying
jobs, etc.

Ain't you worried about all that?
 
Come to think of it, no disrespect to anyone, we are individually different, no matter how some people may feel.
Personally, am not bothered about the money. I am bothered about the future of my children. I have said it before,
i will say it again. I am into IT and am not doing too bad. If I must get a canadian certificate to upgrade my credentials
in order to get a decent job in canada, am prepared to do it no matter how long it will take. Why should i be bothered
about people that are only there to discourage others? Afterall, it's my life, no one will live it for me.
 
Well said chandan.The positive energy will help us succeed.Not everybody looks at life the same way.If anybody and everybody who is prepared to adapt and upgrade himself to the desired standards,will cetainly succeed.Only if people fear change,the problem starts.Self confidence is very important.Keep up the energy.
