Income tax filing for non residents

Me and my family succesfully completed our landing formalities on 29th July 2013. On our landing, we only accomplished PR card application and we also applied for SIN number. We stayed for 30 days and went back to country of origin.

Question: Am I obliged or mandatorily required to file income tax even though I am working outside Canada? If I will not file my income tax what would be the worst consequence it may do to my PR?

I would highly appreciate your replies especially for those who have the experience as mine. Thanks.

If you don't have any investments (such as rental property) leaving behind in Canada, you don't need to file non resident income taxes.

Hi
You mentioned u stayed for 30 days so you do not flu fill raid envy requirements for tax.

But can some member advice me on this:

Would it make sense still to file taxes with no income? If I am not wrong, many time income across situations where they want ur last years tax returns or income statement etc.

Filing taxes would give u that document if I need it in future?

I am in usa so that's my thinking but am curious with respect to canada?

Any experience member can pls comment?
