Hope someone can help me with the below questions. I wanted to sponsor my parents to Canada (I am a citizen), but unsure if I have to include my brother (born September 1999) in the income calculation:
- With my mother, father and myself, size of family unit is 3. My income for 2018 and 2019 meet the requirement for a family of 3, but not 4.
As my brother is under 22 - I am not sure if I need to include him in the count although I only wish to sponsor my parents (not my brother). My brother is currently in Canada as an international student and plans to immigrate through express entry in the future.
If I was to wait and apply to sponsor my parents after he turns 22, do I need to meet the income requirement for the 3 years after he turns 22 ?
He will turn 22 in September 2021. If I apply to sponsor my parents in 2022, can I use the income from 2019, 2020 and 2021 for a family unit size of 3 ?
