In Your Statement Of Purpose Is It Okay To Mention Rough Career Goals As Well?

Lets say you you get acceptance into a study course in Canada which is different from your previous field of education.

I know a lot of people choose courses that are directly related to their previous education and they precisely state how exactly that course will help their career goals. There are no abstract details in there. They are clear as to what skills they will pick up and how those skills will benefit them. And they are clear on what specific job role they want to pursue in the future.

However what if you don't have one exact specific job role that you want to focus on? What if you are interested in multiple job roles within a specific career section and your ability to switch in between them? And what if you want to pursue a course that will give you a backbone to make you applicable for jobs like that? So its not a course which specifically focuses in one one particular job. But gives you a multitude of skills which will be helpful for more than one job in that specific career area?

Is this a bad thing to write on the SOP? Will the officer say that you are not that focused in your career plans? Should you only have one specific role in mind and state how exactly the course will help you in that? Or is it okay to be a little abstract.

The main thing is that, the VO want to see your future plans it doesn't has to be specific but at least VO sees that you know exactly what you are doing that's why you are leaving your home country. You don't want to create an impression of not leaving after you graduate.
