IN PROCESS

as per Explanation --

Your file has been sent to the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) office closest to your home for processing.

The CIC office will complete the necessary steps for a citizenship judge to make a decision on your application. If additional information or documents are needed, the CIC office will contact you.

It means as soon as we see 'IN PROCESS', file is sent to local office.

Am I missing something ?

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
1. That's an old ecas flag/set up that is misleading and should really be removed.

2. In Process means what is says which is meaningless just that your application has been accepted as meeting the submission requirements and there are various steps to take with no definitive timeline other than the 'normal/routine' and 'non routine' timelines quoted by CIC.

2.Only way to confirm transfer call CIC and ask the question 'what date was my file transferred to the Local Office?"

Just another instance of CIC continuing to give false and misleading information. This "mistake" has been on the website for over one year now and nobody has bothered to change it. This should give you an idea of what type of organization you are dealing with.

Another common instance of misinformation is when Call Centre agents tell you an approximate date for your test (supposedly 9 months from when your file is sent to local office), but in reality they are just reading off a general script that might not correspond at all to the actual wait at your local office.
