I am a returning resident and plan to take my US vehicle into Canada. However, being on PR, I understand I cannot drive in a personal US car without importing. So if I plan to enter Canada on weekend, will I be disallowed since the export office on US side closes on weekends.
Is there a way around to avoid US office and do the import or is there a way to do import at a later date?

Please help.. I plan to go this weekend itself

Your cars title MUST be stamped for export in order for you to import it.

It means that the title must be stamped for export before you can import it. How you get that done is up to you but it must be done.

I am returning to Canada after a gap of 2 yrs and didnt have my car on B4 goods to follow, Can I get the stamp at a later date and hence do import later.
Does that mean they wont allow me inside border with my personal car since we cant do import same day(missing stamp on title)

I have no idea what the border official will or will not do. I think if you state you are returning to Canada to live now he might question why your car is not imported already or why it isn't on your B4. There are lots of questions he could/might ask, just be prepared to answer them. He may or may not let you through with that car. You won't know until you get to the border and try.

My suggestion, for future reference. If you KNOW you are indeed going to be moving so far in advance, you might want to figure out the EXACT steps you need to complete to do everything without rushing or skipping points. You have been posting in reference to this for more than a month and now.

I wish you good luck and a Happy New Year.
