Importing car process

Will be moving from US to canada and bringing the car with household goods. How many days does it take normally to receive Form 2 from RIV? I plan to travel to India for 2 months as soon as the process is done. But need to book tickets in advance, would 15 days of stay in Canada be enough to complete the necessary formalities for the car, etc.?

Would they ask us to make each and every small repair for the car, the reason why I ask is that it's a used car with more than 100k miles on it?

I got mine in less than 2 weeks. The inspection would be more on the compliance of your car with Canadian standards...e.g., daytime running lights, child seat restraint.. etc.

Call RIV and ask them to email or fax you the form. I got mine the day after importing.......
