Hi. Im an international student doing Masters at Western University, London, Ontario. I have UHIP. Just wanted to know if UHIP covers normal delivery or C section in Canada? Also, the baby once born will be Canadian citizen so how long does it take for the baby to have OHIP? Any information on that paper work will be helpful! Thanks

So are you on a PGWP waiting for an extension due to passport expiry or are you really still a student, seems a bit confusing based on your other posts where you said you graduated last year ?

If you graduated last year are you even still covered by UHIP now according to your post in link below you are on a PGWP so no longer at UNI but working. Unless of course you are now an employee of the UNI ITdepartment.

Also having a baby in Canada doesn't really give you personally any benefit in applying for PR or to stay long term in the country without any other legal status.

Hi Bs65

Thanks for replying but these are two different cases. I am the one who has the issues with PGWP but this problem is suffered by my cousin who is sharing the apartment with me as she is still a student and she found out that she is pregnant. She didnt conceive the baby to get PR but this just happened. And she and her bf are planning to keep the baby. She tried making an account here but couldnt so I let her use my credentials. I thought it doesnt matter as long as she get helps. I didnt realise she would post as me rather than typing that 'posting for a friend or something'. So, they are two different cases. I am still without any legal status and waiting for the restoration of my status and jobless. Hope this clears the air!
Thank you for responding though, I will ask her to go through these links. :)
