Does that also apply for an open work permit? My husbands visitors status will expire March 28/2018. If he applies for owp and still haven't gotten an answer before March 28, will he still have legal status and be able to stay in Canada after March 28 until we get a decision?

Worth bearing in mind though... If for some reason the application was returned due to an error or something being missing that would put him out of status.

Chances of it being returned may seem relatively slim but it does happen and we do see it here on the forum.. For the sake of $100 for the visitor extension its maybe not worth the risk.

(I am saying that presuming you are referring to the OWP app that you will send in with your inland PR application?!

Yes I am talking about the inland PR and OWP we won't be doing a visitor extension, just his OWP and PR. I just wanted to make sure that he can stay and wait for the answer and not go back home at the end of March we just need to make sure the entire application package is complete and flawless.

Hey there.. My wife is in the same situation as your husband, but hers expire April 21st. Let me know how it goes for you. Hate the feeling of anxiety, ahh. Are you following the 2017 Inland spreadsheet?
