My wife is Implied Status for an extension to her tourist visa. Concurrently we are planning to submit the Spousal Sponsorship application, but she thinks she saw that one cannot apply for Spousal Sponsorship whilst on Implied Status.

Any thoughts? Experiences? Thanks I advance

You absolutely can apply while on implied status. Note - applying for pr however does not give status. If the extension expires during processing she will be out of status

Thanks for the reply !
One question, we are planning to apply inland which means she will need to stay in Canada, Will she be able to stay here in Canada while the Spousal Sponsorship( Inland) is in process even if her visitors visa expired during the process ? Meaning she is in a process of spousal sponsorship...
