ey!
My current IEC visa expires on the 15th. I have applied for permanent residency (express entry, Canadian experience class) but that certainly won’t be processed in time. I have also applied for an open work bridging visa but I doubt that will be processed in time.
I wanted to double check that I’m allowed to continue working under my original visa until a decision has been made about either the bridging work visa or the PR application.

I’d also like to know what happens in the case the bridging visa or PR application is rejected. Obviously I have to stop working straight away but how long do I have to leave the country?
My final question involves my SIN number. I was given a temporary one that lasts the length of my IEC visa which is about to expire. Will the bridging visa give me a new one? Is there something I can do to maintain OHIP coverage until I get a new SIN number or do I need private coverage?
Thank you!
