My advise is not to publically state your intentions especially unwelcomed ones. You are using Canada as citizenship of convenience and it's people like you who cause more difficulties for us in applying.

Friends don't get upset over this thread. This is new wine in old bottle. Just let it be, and move on to your own file/application.

And CIC is quite aware of such practices. They don't need to eavesdrop when they have statisticians graphing information collected over all these years. We as a group behave in patterns. And they map us all the time and institute laws; criminal and civil. So no need of paranoia about posting your questions and doubts as well.

Over the years, getting to know of such practices and not having much powers to control such practices, they simply did what they could do at that time. Around 2010 onwards, they RQ-ed anyone and everyone who had unemployment episodes, either past or current while applying.

And the effect was that around 30-40% got RQ-ed, thanks to the still recovering economy. Ontario is still far deep in recession than California. RQ-ing these many people ended up crippling their day to day functioning, leading to mammoth delays, Mandamus cases, MPs phone calls and so on.

Sensing the real economic corruption, the CIC decision managers stopped believing the public relations attempts about the so called "economic recovery" by media and the government, and instead they did what they could do to make their operations smoother and show progress to their big bosses. They brought in the new RQ triage.

Now the CIC agents don't fret when they see unemployment. RQ or not, they will send you test notice. And when you show up with a recent stamp of entry, you are done. In for the long haul.

Every other second person we know got effected by the recession. And not all have left the country. The CIC agents too know this. That's why the new RQ triage to balance the process.

And personally when one gets hit with unemployment and other hardships, the solution is not in running away. Run from here to where? And when will the running stop?

When sh$t hits the fan, simply clean the sh$t. No point in abandoning the room or the fan. Both are your hard earned assets.

Beyond that, the sad fact is that most of us are not important enough to have the government officials stalking our every move online or in real life. CSIS isn't tracking your IP addresses unless your name is al-Baghdadi or Edward Snowdon.

Some people watch too many movies, and take it seriously into real life. I find it very funny when people are thinking that by posting good words about Canada would give them less trouble in their application. Then they start to sing songs here in the forum. Some even sing a rap song "This great country put food to my family's dining table". It's like your family never ate anything before. ;D
IMO, we all moved to Canada for reasons, but none of the reason was because of not having food on dining table.
