Immunization form

Dear friends
Do adults need to inject any certain vaccines and have them along when landing to canada?
Is there any single immunization form for all Canada for children or each province has its own form?
Can we ask the doctor (who performed our medical) to confirm the children's vaccination cards?

Not seen for adults. Some of the visa office ( not by all ) used to send the blank Immunization Record for applicants under 16 years, along with the COPR. If you did not get one then you don't need that particular form . You can get a vaccination record from your clinic signed by the doctor or a qualified health professional with seal which would be fine. It is a provincial requirement for getting admission for the children to their schools. Usually the following vaccinations are shown on the record:

DIPHTHERIA
PERTUSSIS (WHOOPING COUGH)
TETANUS
POLIO
MUMPS
MEASLES (RUBEOLA)
RUBELLA (GERMAN MEASLES)
HAEMOPHILUS INFLUENZA B
B.C.G.
OTHER

I recommend getting a flu shot for those arriving in Canadian winter as well.

Dear qorax
Thanks for reply. I have another question. how much money do we need to take as a 4 member family for 1 year? In cic website they recommend that 26,000 cad is sufficient for such a family to support their expenses for one year if they couldn't find job. But I heard that as we I have 2 children we must take 50,000 cad for one year. Is it true?
