Hello Guys,

Need your help/advise/suggestions.

I have around 10 years of experience in software industry. I am exploring the opportunity to immigrate to Canada for better job prospect. I have these questions before I start the application process:

  1. As far as I know, for my particular occupation, express entry will be the best option. Is that correct?

  2. I see that in the application process candidates who already have a Canadian job offer are given more preference, but there isn’t getting a job offer without PR almost impossible?

  3. Can anyone please share a link with the proper steps?
Looking forward to your reply.

1. Yes - if you have sufficient points. Right now you need around 460 points to be selected ahead of other candidates.
2. Yes - almost impossible.

Thanks a lot for your quick response. Regarding the express entry point - I have a good IELTS score(8) and 10 years of work experience. But when I tried to calculate my point I got only 433. Any idea how I can increase it? I don't have any relative living in Canada.

Have you maxed out your language points? 433 is too low to be selected unfortunately.

If you've maxed out your language points, then you may need to forget about Express Entry and start researching the Provincial Nominee Programs.
