Dear Seniors,

My name is Andrew and I have just immigrated to Canada along with my parents. The problem is that I will be attending an American university this fall, and I will not stay for over two years in Canada within a five year period even if I returned to Canada for all of my vacations during my undergraduate studies (we have nearly four months of vacation each year). Since I still want to maintain the permanent residence card, will the immigration officer give an exception to my case?

Thank you
Andrew

No, you reside for 2 years in every 5 or you lose your PR status.

Just transfer from yr american uni to a canadian one after 1 or 2 terms! anyhow, if u really plan to stay in canada and work after that, its better that u graduate from a canadian uni and then u can find job in canada easily!
