Hi, I am in a situation where I am not sure what to do next.
I am a new immigrant and I got my PR card last month. However, my kid tore the one entry immigrant visa on my passport. :(
What should I do next? I am planing a trip to another country soon.
Thank you very much!

I think what is important for you to re-enter Canada is your PR card. I am also a PR since 2010 and I have been going in and out of Canada and they ask for that before I get on the plane/bus/train (depending on your mode of transpo). The visa (for Canada) on the passport is just for one time use. The PR card is what they look for but as for your passport that has been tampered/torn, that is another issue.

Give him one back handed fattak on the cheek. But on a serious note your PR is more important for re-entry and tape up the torn one. There should be no probs

If your actual passport is damaged, get a new one from your country embassy / consulate in Canada. If the passport is ok, that's fine. When entering Canada, if they ask, just tell the truth and in the future, don't let your children play with your passport or other important documents.
