They could request updated IMM5669 if there are gaps in personal history, if you didn't list your personal history from the age of 18 (sometimes), if application is transferred to a different VO, if the application takes longer than usual which makes them want to see what you are doing now. In general, whenever they ask for updates or additional documents, it delays the applicaiton. Under Express Entry, it won't delay too much.

Thanks for the kind response, Further to add, What would be the chronology of the application sorry have read over few threads, But would like to recheck & confirm. Can you please give the entire flow chart/sequence after the AOR.

Much Appreciate your kind inputs.

the timeline varies depending on each person's specific situation. In general, for Express Entry application, after receiving AOR (which happens instantly after submitting the application online), the Medical Passed status change will come about a month (more or less) after file submission. then it'll be quiet for several months unless their are document request. Afterwards it's pretty much waiting for the results. If the application is approved, a MyCIC message or an email will be sent saying Visa Ready (Passport Request). They may also request the applicant to land within Canada by either calling (rare) or email. If the officer intends to refuse an application, they would usually (the law requires them to do so) send a Procedural fairness letter and give the applicant 30 days to respond to their concerns. Hope this answers your questions.
