Hello! These are probably horribly stupid questions....but I need to clarify these things. :p
I am in the process of creating our timeline for our relationship, and I am confused by the following:

Question nine asks:

Question 9

Describe and explain how your relationship with your sponsor developed after your first contact/meeting. Provide details about outings, trips taken together and photos and documents to support your story.

Then Question 24 and 25 ask if we've visited each other and provide proof and photos etc.

How are these two questions different? I feel like I'm just repeating myself, and that I'm going to need doubles of things?
Or am I missing something?

It asks if he's living with me (his sponsor) right now, which he is not...it then asks when I returned to Canada. I have never left Canada?

Also, it asks if he's ever lived with me - he stays with me when he visits - should I put that as him living with me?

Thanks!

Hey! welcome to the forum and the confusion...

well - the forms are the same for everybody, so it doesn't always apply to your situation or make sense. try and answer as best as you can, and if you feel that it is confusing, don't hesitate to attach another explanation sheet to it.

So - the way I understood it - , question 9 is more of an overall summary on how your relationship developed until today. When it started, when you moved together (if you have), any significant "big step", but without getting too much into details.

then questions 24 and 25, you can detail a little more the visits and make references to pictures/plane tickets/ to prove what you are saying.

Return to Canada - remember: the application is for outland, which is also for canadian living outside of canada with their spouse. In your case, just put today's date, and add an explanation saying that you are in Canada and never left. Or something like this.

Living with you - no. He doesn't live with you in Canada, because he is not allowed to - he needs a PR for that, or any kind of temporary permit. When he comes to visit, then he is a visitor... but there again, you can add an explanation saying that even if you have never lived together, you have stayed together and shared a life when he visits you ( it also depends if you are talking about 6 months visits, or 2 weeks).

Good luck,
Sweden

Thank you Sweden!

For a few of his visits, he was here for a month or so, and for one he was here for 6 months. So I guess I should put those as living together?

Sweden, your answers to people's questions always make me feel so much better about my application. Doubt has a nasty way of entering my head thinking I should have put more information, added different things, etc. And then I see your comments and I relax again...thanks. +1 x 1 000 000! :p

Also, is it wrong that I'm doing our timeline/trip/visit breakdown in point form? I didn't really feel like they'd want to read a long essay. Or should I make it more detailed? I felt like our photos etc were enough proof, that I didn't need mushy, flowery stuff in the timeline lol
