Hello,
In Schedule A Background/ Declaration form -

Question. 8 Personal History - I have travelled quite a lot of countries based on my nature of work and frequent short business trips as well. Do I have to mention all the information for 10 years using additional sheets?
Question. 12 Addresses - Referring back to the above question, I have the same situation here as well.

Has anyone had the same situation? I do not remember exactly all the addresses.

Thanks.

I had the same situation as you. My former employment required extensive travel.

So, yes, I used an explanation letter attachment and included all travel for the past 10 years. I also attached contracts, special access cards and explanation for when stamps where not affixed in passport.

As for address, I like you, had to go back and search for all my former residences. Had to call my parents as well, so that I could include those from home when we had moved. Just do your best to include all of the information you can, and if you think that more information is necessary, then attach an explanation letter to accompany the form.

Believe me, I had to go back through 4 passports and emails from like 8 years ago to find info for that sheet. I feel your pain! :)

Ok thank you!

No. You need to read the question a little more careful. It says: -

Start with the most recent information. Under "Activity", write your occupation or job title if you were working. If you were not working, provide information on what you were doing (for example: unemployed, studying, travelling, retired, in detention, etc.).

So, assuming you were working, the travel information should not go here, it should go on the travel history form. The additional sheets should be used to document your full history for the last 10 years. So periods where you were working, or if you were not working, what you were doing, as mentioned above.

Question. 12 Addresses - Referring back to the above question, I have the same situation here as well.

Addresses of places you have LIVED, not travelled to.

Has anyone had the same situation? I do not remember exactly all the addresses.

Thanks.

I suppose I should have provided more detail.

Like jsm put it, for question 8, you need to provide personal history info. A while back, I had taken some time between jobs and school and went backpacking. This is what I would have noted as travel on this question. More detailed though would go into travel history form.

As for question 12, I had moved around alot, as in lived, not travelled. So, I did have to go back and search for info. If you really cannot get it, attach an explanation letter. The reason why I put effort into this is because I don't want to give them an excuse to prolong any checks.

Ok now I am bit confused again.

For example during period 01/2008 - 07/2008 I work for company in India and I travelled to New Zealand for 3 months and Dubai for 3 months. What do I give as an answer here for both the questions.

In that case, question 8 is that you were working for XYZ company. Question 12 is where you can note the travels.

Hope that helps..

I understand that but what confuses me here is in question 8, it also says which city I was in and what is the status of the country. So from my example above I should put Company XYZ , India, Citizen or detail it to 3 months in NZ at customer A and 3 months in Dubai at customer B where my status is WORKER.

Sorry about my repeated questions but just want to make sure I am not missing any info on the form.

So, if you were in NZ for 3 months, I assume you weren't having meetings. I assume you had a visa which allowed you to work for that person for 3 months?

If so, this is a period of employment, so put NZ in the personal history section also.

Exactly how jsm put it.

My employment with a former company meant travel all over Europe, so I wrote in the 2 hubs out of which I was based. One was in the States, while the other was in Spain.

To substantiate, I also included a contract, which noted the required travel. All you can really do is excercise your best judgement and provide proof.

So, if you were in NZ and then Dubai, put the sompany name and separate the two for different time frames, and put the different locations in. Alternatively, you can put the 2 locations into the same box, like I did, but provide more info if you can.

Ok Got it. I am working on the dates, locations and the projects I worked on. Once I am done with the information, I will try to fit the information on these cells as advised.

Yes for sure its lot of pain!!

Then in 2005 I had my vacation in Malaysia for 1day and 1week in SG. Do I really need to include the address even though im just a tourist? esp the Disneyland ;D ? hope you can help me with this. Question 12 refers to your place of residence, not visitation. No, you do not have to include addresses for places you visit. Only if you lived somewhere for an extended period of time. IMM0008 is for background purposes, as in where you lived and what you did. Your travel details should be noted specifically in IMM5562E - Supplementary Information, Your Travels. Read the entire package for CEC...all the required forms are clerly noted.

For Question 8: If someone is not working (unemployed), is it ok to write "Not Applicable" in the column for "name of company, employer, school as applicable?"
