IMM 5540 #10 - when a dependant child was sponsored

Hi, I am trying to sponsor my wife to come to Canada. The form IMM 5540 Q.10 asks "Were you yourself sponsored to come to Canada" and if yes, "When".

I came as a dependant child in 1989 with my mother who was sponsored to come here. I have the record of Landing form (IMM 1000) but it does not say the day that I was sposored. My mom does not have the original sposorship documents. How can I figure out the date I should wirte in question 10?

The date you "landed" will be fine.
