I am filling out my forms and part B question 2 asks if principal applicant( my Irish wife) has any relatives living in Canada. Does this mean inLaws? I have LOTS of family here ( I am Canadian)

Question 2 does not include Your Relatives, only the relatives of your wife, the Primary Applicant.

IRCC defines 'relative' as:
Relative
A person who is related to another person by blood or adoption.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/glossary.asp#r

So, related by blood or adoption - not including related only through marriage.

Here is another question. Do I need to write n/a in all boxes that do not apply to me. That seems like a crazy amount of n/a.

I haven't send yet. but i will only use n/a for the first line.

Both probably fine...(my opinion)

Well, we worked all weekend and we are set to mail our application. It is not as daunting as we thought.

Can someone help me please?

Most people suggest close family (parents, grandparents, immediate aunts and uncles, children) but not aunts-twice-removed.

No, it only means her relatives by blood or adoption.
Basically, her Siblings, Parents, grandparents, Uncles (father's brother or mother's brother, but not necessarily the husband of father's sister or the husband of mother's sister), Aunts(just like uncles), Cousins(children of father's brother/sister and mother's brother/sister), nephews, nieces etc.

Thank you guys so much for the info. But like I said above, is it important to list EVERY relatives or it doesn’t really matter as long as I list some of them? Since I have like 30 people left because I don’t count the in laws?
