I am confused on how to answer this question. The relationship between me and my wife was long distance as we were introduced by a common friend. We talked online and on skype and over the phone for a few months before deciding we were ready to commit. But I am not sure how to answer this question, someone please advise!

Well, if no one officially proposed, who brought it up first?

I'd go with that, then explain how things came to be in your statement thats attached to your IMM5490.

Just explain that getting married was a mutual decision that you both discussed and decided on, so neither of you actually proposed.

My situation was strikingly similar. Introduced by a mutual friend and relationship began online. I visited my wife and then later proposed over video call once back in Canada after we had discussed marriage quite a bit. I just explained it how it happened.
